Sad to hear that Chris Marker, my favorite film maker, died at the age of 91. My first Marker film was Grin Without A Cat, and I knew nothing about it beforehand. Following the film I left the theatre agitated, inspired. Through out a life of working with film, loving film, being surrounded by film; for the first time I had the exhilarating experience of seeing a film that communicated to me directly.
